Broccoli: Purple Sprouting

Once the central head is harvested, the plants continue to produce plentiful side shoots.

Purple Sprouting Broccoli has a sweet, earthy flavour that complements all kinds of dishes – from Asian-inspired stirfries to proper Sunday roasts. Enjoy raw for beautiful colour in salads. (It turns the green of less-fancy, traditional broccoli when cooked.)

• Sow in autumn, temp 10-20C
• Sow in full sun, space plants 20 x 30cm
• Seeds will germinate in 7-14 days and grow to 30-40cm
• Harvest in 120-150 days
