JC Terblanche says: ‘Sugar Rush Peach chilli peppers are elongated pods, averaging 5 to 8cm in length, and have a cylindrical shape that tapers to a point on the non-stem end. The skin is smooth, glossy, may appear lightly wrinkled or creased, and ripens from light green through golden yellow, to dark peach when mature. Underneath the surface, the flesh is quite thick, crisp, pale yellow to peach. Sugar Rush Peach chilli peppers have a bright, floral, and fruity flavour with nuances of citrus, apricot, and peach followed by a moderate to the hot level of spice. They are extremely productive and one plant can easily produce up to 25 pods. A great choice to add to your dishes if you want spiciness, but not overpowering heat.’
