This variety is from Peak Week Pods. JC Terblanche says: ‘A delightful gold version of the very popular red cayenne pepper. The plants are extremely productive and one plant will yield between 20 and 30 pods if well looked after. Considered a moderately hot variety, golden cayenne chilli peppers range from 30,000 to 50,000 SHU on the Scoville scale and produce very smooth slightly thicker pods than its red cousin. They can be used fresh, flaked, or powdered. Very easy to grow with no real issues and a great variety to start of with if you are new to growing peppers.’
