Tomato: Black Krim
R30.00 incl VAT
This variety is from Peak Week Pods. JC Terblanche says: ‘Black Krim, in my opinion, is probably one of the best ‘black’ tomato varieties available and I’ll gladly recommend them to anyone who wants to know what a good heirloom tomato is all about. The variety is believed to have been saved and distributed by soldiers who fought in the Crimean war. ‘Krim’ is a shorter version of the Ukrainian word Crimea from where most black tomatoes originate. This is an excellent tomato that has become world-renowned for its different yet amazing smoky, rich, and salty flavours it brings to the table. Unfortunately, there are many ‘variations’ of this tomato floating around, but I can assure you this is the real deal and it will impress whoever gets to taste these. Very easy to grow and more productive than other black varieties in my experience. Highly recommended.’
