Chilli pepper: Blondie
R40.00 incl VAT
This variety is from Peak Week Pods. JC Terblanche says: ‘She’s blonde and she’s hot! Solid white chili pods are a rare occurrence, but Blondie is as close as you’ll get to it. Blondies are of the baccatum species so one can expect some sharp heat, fruitiness, and overall good fresh eating experiences. Blondie hits the SHU scale at about 30,000 to 50,000 and would offer just enough heat to make you sit up straight, but are not inedibly hot. They ripen from a light green to a white and eventually turn yellow when fully mature. Great to use for chilli flakes, powders, or pickles. The plants have an upright habit and produce more than enough pods for you to get creative with. One of the easier growing varieties that produce slightly earlier than other varieties.’
