This variety is from Peak Week Pods. JC Terblanche says: ‘This extremely high-yielding and reliable purple pole bean has been a favourite for a long time. The plants grow up to 2 m tall and will benefit from a good sturdy trellis. Its tender flat pods are a deep shade of purple, which turn a lovely dark green when cooked. The pods are meaty and have amazing flavour fresh or cooked. They produce heaps of pods over a long period and once they start you will have them coming by the bucket load. They are eye-catching with dark purple foliage and lilac flowers. This bean has been tried and tested and is very popular for a reason. Certainly, one to include in your kitchen garden!’
