Bush bean: Rockwell
R35.00 incl VAT
This variety is from Peak Week Pods. JC Terblanche says: ‘What an attractive bean this is. When I received the original seed from a friend, there was a note with it that said ‘Very Productive’. How true that turned out to be! Rockwell is an egg-shaped white bean with maroon and tan markings around the eyes. White beans all have the same soft creamy texture and these are no different. Rockwell has been recorded and grown in the United States since the late 1800s. The bean was originally from Hungary where it was also known as Rote van Paris or Piros Feher (meaning red and white bean). The bean is still grown in gardens and I think it will be around for quite a while.’
