I spend a lot of time wearing socks … I’m proper ‘socks in boots’ all year round. And I like colourful socks because life is too short and all that. I like my socks to last, to keep my feet comfy, and cool, and not pong because … boots and heat. So that’s bamboo as first prize, and cotton as second. Properly bamboo-rich and cotton-rich. And there’s it – the sock solution all in one and now available to gardeners and potters.

I like my socks to last, to keep my feet comfy, and cool, and not take on the rich ‘organic’ smells of my working and recreational environment. So that’s bamboo as first prize, but cotton is a close second. And there’s it – the sock solution all in one and now available to gardeners and potters.
Sexy Socks and Sock Doctor are South African manufactured socks and ‘give back’ to local communities. For each pair of socks that they sell, they allocate a free pair of school socks to a schoolchild who otherwise would not afford them. The stuff we take for granted, really. I’ve seen these donations in practice – magnificent initiative worth supporting.
