Pole bean: Black Nightfall
R35.00 incl VAT
This variety is from Peak Week Pods. JC Terblanche says: ‘Black Nightfall originated as a cross in the gardens of Russel Crowe in the States, one of the world’s leading bean collectors. Black Nightfall is without a doubt one of the most beautiful beans I have in my collection. The plants send out runners but won’t take over your garden. The small pods are typically produced from the bottom of the plant right up to the top. The beans themselves are rather small but produced in large quantities. They are great to use as a dry bean in dishes that require smaller beans and can be used as a replacement for lentils, adzuki, and mung beans. You won’t find many beans prettier than these.’
